On this day in 1882, A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh, was born. Now every year, we celebrate that cuddly little cubby all stuffed with fluff on Milne’s birthday!
I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Winnie the Pooh day than by watching The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and eating some honey flavored treats (honey cookies are a thing, right?).
If you are ever in NYC and want to see the real Winnie the Pooh and friends stuffed animals that belonged to Christopher Robin Milne and inspired his father’s stories, visit the Stephen A. Schwarzman building of the New York Public Library. The dolls, which are almost a century old, are beautifully displayed for visitors in the cutest room decorated with Classic Pooh drawings. It is a must see.
